Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Flagstaff, Arizona is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The assistant superintendent will work closely with the Director of Agronomy and Superintendent on our Meadow course. This job will include crew management, overseeing of a multitude of projects, and irrigation/fertilizer responsibilities. The assistant will fill in when needed in the absence of the superintendent, and will cover multiple roles during our open (summer) season as well as our closed (winter) season.
Requirements
• A degree in Turfgrass Science and management is helpful but not absolutely necessary, depending on the candidate and their willingness to pursue such a degree. Toro irrigation knowledge is helpful but not absolutely necessary, we are willing to train individuals on the particulars of our set up on both courses at Forest Highlands.
• Some experience as an assistant. second assistant or spray tech is helpful. Experience with day to day golf course operations and maintenance are needed.
Compensation
$67,000 to $73,000 per year.
