Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Course in Elverson, Pennsylvania is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.

Position Overview:The Assistant Golf Course Superintendents responsibilities is to direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course tees, greens, fairways, rough, and landscape; supervises the maintenance and repair of motorize and other mechanical equipment, and does related work as required. The Assistant Superintendent will serve in the Superintendent’s capacity during his absence.

Requirements
• Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from four or two-year college or technical school
• Strong knowledge of turfgrass species, irrigation systems, and golf course agronomy practices
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be highly organized and efficient with a high attention to details
• Must have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be proficient with basic computer skills, Word and Excel
• Working knowledge of the maintenance of golf course Poa annua greens and tees, Bentgrass fairways, and blue grass/ TTTF rough; seeding and maintenance practices for golf course turf.
• Ability to schedule and supervise maintenance work to achieve the most efficient utilization of workers and equipment
• Valid Drivers License
• Pesticide application license
• Must be able to work flexible hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, holidays and snow removal. Long hours may be required due to business demands
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English; additional languages are a plus
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds. Occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds

Compensation
$80,000 per year.
