Job Description

Bay City Brewing Co in San Diego, CA is looking for a bartender to join our East Village team. Adjacent to Petco Park, with a rooftop bar and street level tasting room, Bay City is open 7 days a week, days, nights weekends and holidays. We cater to a great local clientele, along with sports fans and conventioneers. We are located on 627 8th Ave.. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, reliable and has the ability to offer the guest an unforgettable experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare beer, alcohol and non-alcohol beverages
• Pouring and educating guests on Bay City Brewing's signature beers (previous tasting room experience a plus)
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
• Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Ability to work Private Events, days, nights, weekends and holidays
• Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age, while following all ABC rules and regulations
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations

Qualifications

• Proven working experience as a bartender, with a focus on beer service (Cicerone Certification preferred)
• Minimum 3 years bartending experience
• Event and high volume experience preferred
• Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks and pouring beers
• Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
• Relevant training certificate, LEAD and Food Handler's required
