About the team and the role:

eBay, Inc. seeks Business Analytics 3 in San Jose, CA

What you will accomplish:

Job Duties: Support business planning-related deliverables and ad-hoc data-driven projects. Develop reporting scorecards and dashboards. Provide data-driven insights to a team of managers to influence key business decisions. Support the business and metrics portion of external-facing planning meetings and embrace the complexities of the two-sided marketplace. Develop executive-ready presentations and operational updates. Influence processes and guardrails. Translate business requirements into associated process maps and business models. Conduct business analysis across all sites to demonstrate internal and external DataWork cross-functionally with anlytics teams. Develop comprehensive tools and business recommendations. Prepare complex documentation impacting major projects and maintain and demonstrate knowledge of resources across multiple department or functional areas. Partial telecommuting may be permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or a closely related field plus three years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Special Skill Requirements:

1. Operations Research: Experience with leading projects focused on enhancing operational efficiencies by automating processes and reducing manual touchpoints (2 years)
2. Automation: Experience with utilizing Python and SQL to optimize and streamline core processes (2 years)
3. Initiatives: Collaborated with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to define client product requirements and prioritize feature development effectively (2 years)
4. Experience with identifying and sharing business opportunities, threats, and analysis (1 year)
5. Experience with competition strategy mapping, online and offline and identifying emerging market trends (1 year)
6. Experience with research and analysis of buyers and sellers with an objective to drive better experience (1 year)
7. Experience with Business Analysis (1 year)
8. Experience with SQL queries (1 year)
9. Experience with Tableau (1 year)
10. Experience with Python (1 year) 
11. Experience with Product Analytics (1 year)

 

 Salary: $174,304.00-221,100.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
