Dental Assistant 

 Location: Garrett B. Lyons, DDS – Montchanin, DE 

 Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays | 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM 

 Pay: $25–$30/hour 

 Part-Time Position

Looking to join a welcoming dental team that truly values quality care and a positive work environment? We’re currently seeking a Dental Assistant to become an essential part of our practice. An EFDA certification is a big plus, but it’s not required—we’re open to great assistants with the right experience and attitude.

What You’ll Do:

• Greet and prepare patients for treatment while making them feel at ease
• Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures using 4-handed dentistry techniques
• Set up treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to safety standards
• Handle lab tasks and explain post-op instructions to patients
• Keep accurate and organized patient records and treatment notes
• Pitch in with scheduling and general office support when needed
• Perform expanded functions like coronal polishing if certified

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2 years of dental assisting experience
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA or RDA)
• EFDA certification is strongly preferred, but not required
• X-ray/radiology certified
• Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and a calm, professional demeanor
• Highly organized, dependable, and team-oriented
