VIP Staffing is immediately hiring a Forklift Driver for a leading organization in Albuquerque.

This is a Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire position with a Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm schedule.

Pay for this position is $18.00 per hour.

Responsible for warehouse and storage space to safely and efficiently transport heavy cargo based on necessary workflows. Track inventory, inspect goods before and after shipping to identify imperfections or damages, lift heavy material onto pallet(s) and secure them with packaging materials, stack materials, count inventory, fill orders, and load/unload trailers.

Responsibilities:

As a Forklift Operator, you will:

• Perform Shipping/Receiving; turning in bills of lading (and vendor orders.
• Checking for damaged goods.
• Staying aware of possible hazards.
• Maintaining / Set up maintenance checks for forklift and other equipment; daily equipment checks a must.
• Pick orders and load trucks.
• Double check accuracy of the shipments.
• Loading/unloading trucks.
• Storing materials in the proper locations.
• Inventory counts.
• Maintains clean work area.
• Checks loads are centered and properly stacked, and secured.
• Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.

Forklift Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• At least 2 years experience in a warehouse environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently.
• Previous OSHA training a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.; occasionally.
• Ability to operate powered industrial machinery.
• Safety training certifications.
• Excellent time management skills a must.
• Ability to read, understand, and carry out written procedures.
• Computer knowledge a must (sending/receiving emails, scanning and emailing bills of lading and or work order copies).
