Bring your big ideas knowing you are safe to be who you are and speak up with concerns orquestions and put your diverse talents and perspectives to use. **The Opportunity** In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Work with multi-discipline teams to develop design materials for project assignments for heavy civil worksprojects such as generation, power infrastructure (transmission, distribution, substations), solar, wind, dams,buried infrastructure, tunnels, etc. + Perform analysis, design calculations, design sketches, and preparing geotechnical design reports to meetproject requirements + Perform, coordinate, and manage geotechnical field investigations + Coordinate, manage, observe, and document geotechnical construction activities such as grouting, groundimprovement, deep foundations, retaining walls, etc. **The Team** As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our 3 market sectors- Governments &Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. They are seeking ownership-driven technical professional who thrives in a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and kindnessthat focuses on the goal to be the most innovative company in the civil consulting industry. **Key Responsibilities** + Focuses on the coordinating internal teams and resources while working to understand client's interest andneeds + Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details for projects such as power generation facilities,substations, transmission lines, solar sites, dams, canals, flood control projects, municipal water, wastewater, andpipelines + Planning, designing, and overseeing geotechnical aspects for projects both in the office and in the field. + Be able to travel on field assignments as required. Field time is estimated at 20 and 40%. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with geotechnical investigations, grouting, ground improvement, deep foundations, and retainingwalls + Prefer Master's Degree in Civil Engineering with Emphasis in Geotechnical Engineering + Active Engineering-In-Training (EIT) Preferred **Minimum Qualifications** + Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing. + Minimum of 1 year related work experience. **Certifications** Active Engineering-In-Training (EIT) License **Work Environment/Physical Demands** + Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon managerdiscretion, job performance and work assignments. + Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level,safety hazards (electric currents, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to chemicals), atmosphericconditions (fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, poor ventilation). + Sitting, walking, talking, hearing, reading,writing, keyboarding, driving, filing, reaching, stooping, crouching, bending, standing for extended periods oftime, lifting or carrying up to 40 pounds. **Salary Plan** ENG: Engineering **Job Grade** 015 Black & Veatch endeavors to makeaccessible to any and all users.
