Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in Health Care Compliance and Quality Metrics. The candidate will ensure that Virtual Medical Care is compliant with Department of Health (DOH), National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQH), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and accreditation standards by implementing and administering practices, programs, and policies as well as Quality Improvement initiatives and at enhancing patient outcomes, safety and satisfaction.

**Salary range $55,000 - $58,000**

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Healthcare Compliance and Quality Coordinator is responsible for:
  • Experience or ability to maintain, and review policies and procedures for the operation of a healthcare compliance and quality program and other similar activities to prevent unethical, illegal, or improper conduct
  • Assessment of current Compliance and Quality policies and procedures; organize and maintain compliance regulatory files
  • Maintain standards to ensure that the compliance and quality programs throughout the organization are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance with applicable rules and regulations
  • Remains current on the latest rules, regulations, regulatory and legislative updates
  • Utilizes results of risk assessments to change / update internal policies or procedures
  • Conducts investigations to potential violations and completed appropriate actions to correct; involved in documenting confidential investigations of alleged misconduct, breaches of policy, and other cases of non-compliance.
  • Develop and oversee quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care outcomes, safety and satisfaction
  • Participates in the Compliance and Quality Committee including content, agenda, meeting minutes and follow-up items
  • Participate in the Call Center accreditation process
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies in carrying out duties and responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Possess a minimum of two years’ experience in the healthcare field, in related field, working with regulations, standards and policies required
  • Experience in accreditation process recommended
  • Strong ability to prioritize and perform multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong ability to utilize multiple software systems concurrently
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively report project risks and progress to senior management
  • Strong Technology skills to include use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint other Business Data software
  • Possess ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience in OPWDD recommended
