How you'll contribute
Leadership Responsibilities:
Responsible, either personally or through delegation, for the following:
Continuously assesses and improves the performance of care and services provided.
Orients and provides in-service training and continuing education of all persons in the department/service.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Participate to some degree in each of the following responsibilities:
Evaluates - Independently evaluates and determines work assignments and evaluates job performance, recognizes performances.
Exercises Supervisory Authority - Implements department and/or hospital policy; insures all employees are trained in policy; exercises discretion, independent of policy to insure proper function of department or sub department.
Maintains professional skills and provides appropriate care to patients of all ages (neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics).
Assists with the daily work schedules to assure maximum production from assigned employees and evaluates daily workflow and makes adjustments in staffing as necessary.
Assures the quality control procedures, instrument/equipment evaluation, and maintenance are carried out on schedule and properly documented in section as required by accrediting agencies.
Collaborates with the Laboratory Manager on all policy and procedure issues and immediately notifies Manager of any issues regarding employees, procedures, or equipment.
Maintains all documentation requirements of accrediting agencies.
Facilitates evaluation of new or modified test procedures or equipment, as directed by Manager.
Takes care of inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies.

5 years' experience as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (ACSP) cm in a clinical Laboratory setting.

Conemaugh Miners Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital that has served northern Cambria County's rural population for 116 years. The 25-bed facility features a 24/7 Level IV Trauma Emergency Department with chest pain accreditation, offering sophisticated emergency care close to home. Originally developed to serve the coal mining community, the hospital has grown to provide high-quality, comprehensive outpatient, imaging, diagnostic, and specialty services to all patients throughout the entire course of their lives.
