Job description:

As a Manufacturing Engineer Your responsibilities will include:

• This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about assembly integration and testing of low volume, high-precision products. The selected candidate will work both independently and collaboratively to review, plan, integrate, and test unique opto-mechanical and thermoelectric products in a low volume setting.

Day to Day Responsibilities :

• Perform tasks in a manufacturing and/or prototyping environment.
• Review and provide feedback on electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical drawings and designs.
• Translate drawing requirements into detailed work instructions for the assembly, integration, and testing of complex end-products.
• Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure program schedule milestones are met.
• Own product schedule development - coordinate across disciplines to ensure agreement amongst stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot issues individually and collaboratively to find quick and safe solutions that minimize schedule delays.
• Balance multiple projects and priorities and communicate clearly to operations leadership.
• Maintain accurate records and manufacturing documentation.
• Adhere to established policies, procedures, and proper labor charging practices.
• Be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and travel as needed.

This is a 12-month, Full- time- Contract with possible hire opportunity.

Ideal candidate must have:

• 4–8 years of experience in manufacturing and/or prototyping environments
• Ability to review and interpret electro-mechanical and opto-mechanical drawings
• Ability to translate drawings into detailed work instructions.
• Troubleshooting technical issues in assembly, integration, and testing.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Ability to communication with internal and external stakeholder.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in Airborne, Aerospace or Defense industry
• Familiarity with machinery, machine building, and precision engineering
• Experience with Optical Metrology
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Quality Management (ISO/AS9100)
• Ability to support 9/80 work schedule is preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.

Pay Ra nge: $45.00 - $50 per hour.

• Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
