Role: Manufacturing Engineer

Location Milpitas, CA

JD:

Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead new product introduction:

• Study and Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify efficiency improvements
• Act as the primary technical authority for manufacturing processes, designs, and equipment.
• Lead efforts to improve manufacturing methods to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality and safety
• Apply manufacturing best practices for new product, by writing clear and concise subassembly requirements
• Use data analysis and statistical methods to determine root causes of failures and implement corrective actions.
• Make cost down and fast turnaround production process of complex capital equipment with Laser, optics, electrical, mechanical components
• Collaborate with design engineers to ensure products are designed for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, procedures, and reports.
• Research and propose new manufacturing technologies and methods to maintain a competitive edge
• Coordinate with Suppliers and Cross functional teams to ensure project execution and meet project schedule.

Required skills and qualifications

• Deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, including Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
• Advanced proficiency with relevant software, such as CAD, CAM, and statistical software.
• Expertise in Lean manufacturing principles and tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, backed by a strong quantitative and statistical background.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven experience in leading projects and teams.

Familiarity with quality standards and measurement equipment.
