Design and prepare drawings for use by the fabrication and installation departments and provide layout and design for proposed projects.
Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Prepare and design detailed drawings for shop fabrication for paint finishing systems.
Communicate with vendors and requisition commercial items and materials to complete jobs.
Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production problems.
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
Design and draw various Finishing Systems equipment such as washers, ovens and paint booths.
General calculations for volumes, GPM and BTU/HR ratings.
Design and draw support steel for various loading conditions.
Design and detail various duct arrangements, to include AC ducts for clean rooms, exhaust ducting, roofs, curbs and rain skirts and internal oven ducting.
Layout, draw and reproduce illustrations for reference manuals and technical publications to describe operation and maintenance manuals of finishing systems.
Miscellaneous engineering projects and tasks are assigned as needed.
