Job Description

We Fund LA, which is powered by New American Funding, is hiring a mortgage loan officer assistant and/or processor to join our top-producing team and assist our mortgage loan origination officers. This position requires a unique mix of sales and customer service skills, plus the ability to manage loan files from beginning to end. Effective communication skills are essential for building relationships that help us obtain future business. You must be familiar with underwriting guidelines, calculating income, loan structuring, and workflow, and familiarity with Encompass is preferred. This position is not remote and would require you to be in the office at least 4 days a week in Pasadena, CA. • Check all loan package documents for complete accuracy and submit any discrepancies to the loan officer/ loan originator
• Gather and coordinate necessary loan documentation necessary for verifications and underwriting such as loan files, loan packages, credit reports, and additional mortgage application paperwork
• Act as the primary contact between our clients and our company and schedule and conduct meetings to discuss any follow-up issues or items that need to be addressed
• Screen and make calls, book appointments and provide administrative support as needed
• Handle all customer and in-house inquiries about transactions so the process is smooth and customers receive excellent service

Qualifications:

• Possess an understanding of different loan products, such as conventional loans, FHA, VA, adjustable/ fixed, commercial loans, etc.
• NMLS license or training is not required, but is desired
• Preferably 2-3 years of administrative support in a professional office or mortgage environment
• Ability to effectively work in a strong team-oriented environment and provide outstanding communication and customer service to clients
