Job Title: MRI Technologist

Compensation: $50/HR $60/HR

Job Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing routine and specialized MRI imaging procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results and exceptional patient care. This role includes preparing patients for procedures, operating MRI equipment safely, assisting radiologists, and maintaining adherence to clinical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and special MRI imaging procedures according to established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate, maintain, and care for MRI equipment and related accessories.
• Assist radiologists with imaging procedures as required.
• Uphold established standards of care and customer service protocols.
• Maintain compliance with MRI Safety Level 2 requirements annually.
• Participate in continuing education to meet certification and regulatory standards.
• Perform quality assurance tasks and additional duties as assigned.
• Exercise professional judgment in performing imaging procedures and providing patient care.

Minimum Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited radiography school or hospital-based program.
• Active NY State License required.
• Certified by ARRT or ARMRIT.
• Must obtain ARRT MR certification within 1 year of hire if not already certified.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required or must be completed within 90 days of hire.
• IV certification preferred, or must be completed within 6 months of hire.
• MRI Safety Level 2 certification required annually.
• Must fulfill continuing education requirements - currently 24 ECE credits every two years (based on year of birth).
• Flu vaccination required no exemptions.
