Schedule: 37.5 hours/week | 5 days/week | 7.5 hours/day
Weekly Gross: $3,249/week
W2 Rate: $20/hr
Stipend: $2,499/week
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a contract assignment within a high-volume medical imaging department. The ideal candidate will perform high-quality MRI procedures, ensure patient safety, and support diagnostic accuracy through precise imaging techniques. This role requires strong technical proficiency, clinical experience, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform MRI examinations following established protocols and safety standards
Ensure proper patient positioning, selection of imaging parameters, and high-quality image acquisition
Demonstrate strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, MR physics, and imaging principles
Maintain knowledge of MRI safety guidelines, including screening patients and staff
Review patient histories and physician orders to determine appropriate imaging approach
Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort
Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to support accurate interpretation of imaging results
Maintain equipment readiness, cleanliness, and functionality, reporting issues as needed
Ensure proper documentation and compliance with departmental and regulatory requirements
Perform additional duties as assigned to support imaging services
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy , MR physics, and imaging techniques
Excellent technical knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.–approved Radiologic Technology program
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
ARRT (MRI) Certification
BCLS Certification
