This Registered Nurse (RN) position in an Emergency Room (ER) setting requires a minimum of one year of experience and focuses on providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and pediatric patients with diverse acuity levels. The RN will manage various medical emergencies, administer medications, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Floating to other units is required based on census needs.

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care in a fast-paced ER environment.
- Assessing and monitoring patients' conditions.
- Administering medications and treatments.
- Managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
- Performing procedures such as blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, IV starts, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, and procedural sedation.
- Interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
- Utilizing electronic health records (Epic).
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining patient safety and adhering to infection control protocols.
- Responding to emergency situations.
- Floating to other units as needed.
- Completing all required documentation accurately and timely.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum one year of experience in an ER or similar setting (first-timers accepted).
- Proficiency in managing various medical emergencies and patient conditions.
- Skill in medication administration, including IV vasopressors and emergency medications.
- Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Knowledge of isolation precautions.
- Experience with blood product administration and central line care.
- Proficient in phlebotomy and starting IVs.
- Experience with continuous IV paralytics and sedation.
- Experience with procedural sedation administration.
- Knowledge of CVA management.
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in critical care environments.
- Comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines.
Special Considerations:
- Every other weekend requirement.
- Floating to other units is required based on census.
- Minimal remote work allowed.
- 36 or 48-hour shifts are available.
- Patient ratios are 1:5 with mixed/shared acuity levels.
- Block scheduling is attempted but not guaranteed.
