About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for Summer Internships. Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (11 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.
Responsibilities - Code high-volume software using C++, Java, JavaScript or Python.
- Implement web interfaces/mobile applications using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Swift, Java or Kotlin
- Build RESTful API’s and Microservices.
- Receptive to learning the team's technology stack including cloud, participate in design/code reviews, apply academic principles to solving the company's business problems
Qualifications - Pursuing a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Strong, clear and concise communication and writing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to independently lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in C++, Java, JavaScript or Python
- Proficiency in a programming language, familiarity with cloud services(AWS or Azure)
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
