Description Seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design and planning of our enterprise voice migration from NEC PBX to Mitel. This role focuses on network topology design, firewall rule creation (Palo Alto), and Cisco switch optimization to support VoIP infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in SIP/RTP traffic flows, voice QoS, and structured change management processes. This is a contract role that is mainly remote but could ask to come onsite in Las Vegas for certain occasions. Requires strong documentation and coordination skills. Success in this role means delivering a fully approved, ready-to-deploy network design that enables a smooth cutover with minimal disruption. Top Skills - 1.Telephony -Assess existing NEC voice/data network across multiple sites. -Design optimized Mitel VoIP topology including VLANs, QoS, and trunking. -Create detailed Lucidchart diagrams for core, distribution, and access layers. 2. Firewall & Security Planning (Palo Alto) -Identify Mitel traffic flows (SIP, RTP, signaling). -Design and document firewall rules, NAT policies, and security profiles. -Submit and track change requests through formal change control. 3. Cisco Switching Optimization -Define VLANs, QoS boundaries, and STP adjustments for voice VLANs. -Recommend PoE and port configurations for Mitel endpoints. Experience Level Expert Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, NV. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
