Position Title: Surgical Technician
Location: Ithaca, NY
Pay Rate: $40 to $45/hour

Schedule:
3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (Day shifts)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to support our surgical team during a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons and medical staff by preparing the operating room, managing surgical instruments, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure safe and efficient procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as required.
Maintain sterile fields and adhere strictly to infection control protocols.
Monitor and manage surgical equipment functionality throughout procedures.
Collaborate closely with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency.
Document and manage surgical supplies and instrument counts accurately.
Comply with all hospital policies, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent credential.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with the EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system.
Proven experience in surgical or hospital environments.
Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, fast-paced settings.
