JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and exhaust hoods.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills And Knowledge - 6 months of experience in commercial cleaning and safe chemical use.
- Ability to learn current occupational safety standards, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class II Gaming License.
- Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Must have excellent guest service skills.
Preferred Skills And Knowledge - Experience in commercial kitchen cleaning.
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment.
Physical Requirements - Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to safely climb and work from a ladder.
- Ability to stand and/or move around continuously during the assigned shift.
- Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment.
Essential Functions Of The Job - Knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards.
- Knowledge of casino promotions.
- Responsible for deep cleaning and maintaining the appearance of kitchen equipment and food preparation areas.
- General and deep cleaning of equipment including, but not limited to, gas fryers, stove tops, griddles, steamers, grills, and ovens.
- Ability to disassemble and reassemble parts of major kitchen equipment.
- Degrease and general cleaning of food preparation areas including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, and detailing of kitchen areas.
- Degrease exhaust hoods.
- Identifies and reports an irregular, hazardous, or unsafe conditions.
- May also serve as a backup Custodial Worker cleaning public area of the Casino as needed and requested by the Custodial Shift Supervisor on duty.
- Perform other duties in the casino as assigned by the Custodial Shift Supervisor.
- Must be able to work with others from the department as a team.
