BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as Intern for Manufacturing Engineering at our new production plant in Viana, Portugal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the launch and ramp-up of new product, ensuring smooth integration into the manufacturing process.
  • Monitor and improve assembly operations to reduce scrap and defects.
  • Collect and analyze production data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to optimizing production yield through actionable solutions.
  • Update visual work instructions and document process improvements.
  • Provide operator support during process changes and new product introductions.
  • Prepare a concise report at the end of the internship summarizing key findings and implemented improvements.

Profile We Are Looking For

  • Degree in Engineering Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in assembly processes and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools is a plus.
